Is this national policy now?

I don't see how. The one in my town SELLS firearms. Would be a contradiction for them to sell something that isn't allowed on the property. I have actually asked them if there was a policy regarding customers carrying and they said no. *shrug*

I remember reading not too long ago about a child shooting herself at a Sam's....with her grandmother's CCW. I've been expecting Wal-Marts to start posting since that incident.

I've heard rumors this was coming. If true Nationwide, it will be the last time I step in a Wal-Mart. Hopefully, this is just a case of an over zelous manager.

Follow up with the manager. This has happened from time to time at various Wal-Marts and in every case corporate has made them remove the sign. If it's not a corp policy, the local Wal-Marts are not able to institute no weapons policies locally.

In GA Wal-Mart seems to not appreciate OC but has stated that their policy is OK with CC.

Yeah, the other day I saw a sign too that made me not want to go to Wal-Mart. It said Wal-Mart.

In Oklahoma, the 'no guns' signs are legally meaningless unless they are on the list of places you can't carry (schools, govt. offices, etc.).

Without suggesting that anyone break any laws, concealed means concealed.

Dan,
I haven't noticed any around Tucson yet. Have you, in your neck of the woods? I actually saw someone open carrying in a local Wal-Mart. Nobody even blinked. I love Tucson! Wink

WalMarts corp policy has always been to abide by state law regarding firearms. Sounds like your local manager thinks he has big balls.

Call corporate and they will set him straight.

See... I haven't bought ammo from Wally World since the Sportsmans Whorehouse opened a few miles south. I have no idea how their prices compare... but I do know that SW has a piss-poor selection of .45 CAP right now... & it's $20 per box of 50.

+2 for Texas. Also my CHL instructor made a good point last week. He said that one reason that you dont see the 30.06 sign (Texas penal code) is that it immediately implies that the management or establishment is now somewhat responsible for your safety. By denying your right to CC in their building they now take on the liability to defend you from other crazies.

Don't think that the Wally lawyers don't know about that.

Walmart also has weird or no options of 9mm, but it is all ten bucks a box plus tax.

Should I buy from CTD? they have Blazer and Eagle for ten to twelve a box plus shipping.

The SW is twice as far as the Walmart.

I want to do business that has respect for the 2a.

I don't reload so I just go to Natchez and order Blazer alum. case ammo. I get them a couple of cases at a time.

I just checked and still $7.99 a box plus shipping. It gets here in a few days from when I place the order.
