I got my new one for G17 yesterday and I wonder if they use thinner leather for the larger gun but the two I have for G26 and G19 there is a big diff in the thickeness and stiffness when compared to the new one for the G17

The make them from both Horse hide and Cow hide IIRC. The Cow should be thicker, but ironically, the Horse should be stiffer--at least that's how it was on the one I owned for a time.

There's no appreciable difference in the two I own; horsehide for my P239 and cowhide for my P229.

The only thing that comes to mind is that Kramer may be trying to keep the profile as thin as possible for larger handguns. Excellent holsters but not as 'flat' as other manufacturers' designs.

I agree I love this style though as I blew threw a few other IWB styles and a friend suggested this one and my G19 has been carried hard for a year now still looks great get almost a kydex type click in the holster and wears well so

I hadn't thought about the "click" before but, you're right. It is kydex-like. Nice description. Smile
