Came in the mail yesturday.

Now I can submit that with my local application and hopefully get my home state permit. Sad I have to go this route, but, whatever it takes.

Submitted all my local paperwork on Monday. Got a call yesturday to appear before the board of public safety next month. They only meet every two weeks and only hear 3 apps per session.
Wish me luck.

May I ask what town you are in? I'm starting the process to get a non-resident RI permit through Westerly.

If you'd like to keep information private and are willing to discuss the process, my email is in my profile.

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.

I will say which city once I get it, don't want to put that info out until I get an answer.

I do hear that East Greenwich is permit friendly.

RI LAW 11-47-11

, or of any person twenty-one (21) years of age or over having a bona fide residence within the United States and a license or permit to carry a pistol or revolver concealed upon his or her person issued by the authorities of any other state or subdivision of the United States, issue a license or permit to the person to carry concealed upon his or her person a pistol or revolver everywhere within this state for four (4) years from date of issue, if it appears that the applicant has good reason to fear an injury to his or her person or property or has any other proper reason for carrying a pistol or revolver, and that he or she is a suitable person to be so licensed.

I've got the Westerly application and most of it is done. Just need to figure out what I will come up with for the "proper reason" letter. Not sure if there are suggestions out there.

Westerly has a bunch of signatures required as they want to check your mental health records at a bunch of places within the state. [rolleyes]

I would be interested in seeing the EG application if you have time. Email in my profile.

Fingers crossed.

I had my Utah permit for years, but am letting it go, as we now can carry in almost all the states that we could with the UTAH.
