Called them but couldn't get a straight answer, sounds legal with a permit but the information chick wasn't sure or just didn't want me to
What part of the airport do you plan on carrying at? pickup? dropoff?
If publically owned Not in Terminal. Parking Lot OK (Section 16-23-420(a))
It is difficult to know who owns the airport. Handgunlaw.us recommends not carrying in
just talks about what happens if you bring it past tsa.
Not minority enough!
Carrying in an airport beyond the parking lot is risking trouble. Airport LEO's often not the same caliber as deputy sheriffs and or city police. Add TSA types into the equation at an airport isn't a good thing.
Keeping the unit in the car sounds like the safest route.

Is it posted on the door?
Picked the kids up and yes posted at the entry doors, amazingly no police were walking around or even at the baggage claim or curbside pickup /drop-off was very surprised by this
In IL it's a no go anywhere at an airport:
(a) A licensee under this Act shall not knowingly carry a firearm on or into...
(19) Any building, real property, or parking area under the control of an airport.
IL restricting the rights of gun owners, how shocking.
