I have been carrying handguns concealed as a police officer, and now as a permit holder, for almost 23 years. I have carried in a variety of methods, but until now, never in an ankle holster. Yesterday I bought a Galco Glove for my Smith 642, and have been wearing it all day today. So far it is very comfortable, not shifting around at all, and conceals well with a pair of ancient khakis from The Gap. I will most likely not rely on this as my everyday holster for the 642, as my backup. I have a Kramer pocket holster that fills that role most of the time, but the Galco is a nice, secure alternative. How's that for a review?

How do you think it would work for a Glock 26? Got any pictures?

FWIW: I carried a Glock Model 27 (same gun as your Model 26, but in .40 S&W vs 9mm) for several years in a DeSantis Apache ankle holster. It too was very secure and reasonably comfortable. After my department "banned" Glocks for on and off-duty carry, I used the same model holster for my SIG P245. Although it wasn't as comfortable as with the G27, it still worked pretty well.

Tecumseh, I'll try to get a pic up at some point. I would say your G26 would work fine. I'm on day two wearing the Galco all day, so far still so good.

I have their ankle glove for my 442 and it fits well. I mainly use it for driving long distances where a hip carry would place me against the weapon and uncomfortable. Also, if you removed from a hip carry and placed in glove box you would have to re-holster at every stop, giving yourself away.

Ankle carry for the P245 is interesting. I've actually read where people conceal RAMIs in ankle holsters, but like with the SIG, I thought it would be much too heavy.
