http://www.topgunsupply.com/holsters-milt-sparks-vm2-sig-sauer/They are out right now but you can set it up so that you get an email when they get in stock. I have heard good things about http://www.lightningarms.com/products.htmGive them a call or shoot them an email and see if they have anything that would work for ya.

Try TT Gunleather for a really nice holster that in my opinion is every bit as nice as the VMII. You'll still have to wait to get one, but the wait is substanitally shorter than what you'd endure for the almightly VMII. However, if timing and money are part of your purchasing criteria, I'd recommend a CompTac MTAC. I have two of them for my standard carry guns, and prefer them to any other IWB holster I have tried/owned. The MTAC will run you a week or so and $80 to get.

Who makes the best leather holster with the shortest turnaround time?
Chris
i've had very good customer service and dealings with lightningarms and topgun! another thing you can do is scour ebay and the gunboards....something always turns up eventually.

My wait for a pair of Mitch Rosen holsters was just a tick over three months (got them yesterday). It was worth it. The USD-II Slimline that I got is a work of art, even compared to my VM-II.

I'll second the TT Gunleather recommendation. I have a OWB double-snap for the P225 and it exceeds my expectations in every way.

I have been seriously considering ordering from TT Gunleather. Does the OWB carry close to the body? I'm concerned that a heavy pistol (Sig 229R) would make the holster push out and not be able to be CCW as well. quote: Originally posted by JasonEuc: I'll second the TT Gunleather recommendation. I know what you mean about carrying a full size pistol OWB. Have you seen the Mitch Rosen 'Thinman'? It's OWB, but inbetween the belt & pants

The K&D Maverick Defender which I use, can be carried IWB or OWB between the belt and pants. I don't find it difficult at all to conceal a P228 or full size Glock @ the 2:00 position under a simple untucked T-shirt.

My P225 carries exactly how I wanted it to. Nice and tight @ the 3:30 position. Easily concealed beneath a T-shirt. The carry height is also very nice. Tested w/ a 3 hour car ride and it wasn't "I didn't even know it was there", but it didn't jab me, no broken blood vessels, etc. Of course, the P225 is a touch slimmer and lighter than the P229, but you'll have that issue regardless of the holster.

My Versa Max 2 came from them. The holster was in-stock and dealing with them was great - highly recommended. AKA John E.
