So. Don't really want to get into why, but my sister wants to try this type of holster. Anyone have a preference and reasons why?

A holster does more than cover the trigger. It also retains the gun itself.
They all look like they will cover the trigger OK.

Initially upon learning of these trigger guard holsters, I was rather dubious.

However, I've recently begun using one, ( locally made ) for my G43. Better than simply dropping the pistol itself into a pocket.

I've got the BORAII for a G26, use it occasionally for pocket carry.

it is good for just that.

if she has a small gun and big pockets, should be fine.

Thanks. Going to try the MIC because this is in a fanny pack/pouch and we can tether the "trigger guard holster" in there.

I have a Raven Concealment Vanguard 2 that I took off the belt loop and run a paracord tether to it. I dont really use it, but it does everything that I wanted it for. It is also injection molded plastic that I feel has a better fit than kydex.

Who makes it and how it's made can greatly determine how it fits. Wink

Another vote for the Ozarks Holster Company "Guard Glove" for this type of holster. I've owned others including the MIC, Raven Vanguard 1 and 2 and the Aegis. I like the precise fit and better cord of the Ozarks. MIC would be my second choice.

I have one of the Raven Concealment Vanguard 2's (the guy that originally came up with the idea teaches FOF classes I've taken here in Indiana) and use it in the console in my car. Haven't tried it on body carry but I might give that a go. Seems like an option if I pick up the belt clip kit that Raven has.
