With all the interest in CCW from more and more...and the back logs increasing at our favorite holster makers such as Del Fatti (24 months), Sparks (6 months), etc....who are the up and coming holster makers to watch out for now?

Interested in learning more about what is out there that people are keeping to themselves! Wink

Love to see pics and contact info posted

If you would have asked me 4 or 5 months ago I would have said TT Gunleather. However, based on his wait times I have to say I would take him out of the up and coming category and would put him up there with the best of them. I should be getting another order from him in the next week or so that I placed back in March and it is in no way a small order.

I have numerous holsters and magazine holders from our very own Ryan Grizzle (countryboy) here on the forum.
Outstanding quality, price and delivery.
I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone at anytime.

I've stumbled into holster making and I think it is something that I will be kicking up a notch soon. Just from some posts and word of mouth I've received several orders and have more on the fence. A website, makers mark and business cards are on the horizon for me I think. I've dubbed it "Big River Leather" Since it is part time for me, it is a challenge to keep the lead time under control, but I think that is mainly because I am building a custom chest holster for a 10 1/2" S&W Performance 500. Once I get that wrapped up I can forge ahead. Gtting molds in a timely fashion can slow me down two, but once I have them, things should move along much faster. Hand stitching is another time consumer, but stitching machines are pretty big bucks.

Here are some of my samples

A LCP or pocket gun tuckable (MCT)

Double Loop IWB (DLC)

High Ride OWB (HRO)

Clip and Go IWB (CGI)

Look for my ads coming in the classifieds soon!

As far as recently well established makers, I'd say CountryBoy has really done a nice job of building his business and has been an inspriation to me. He turned his unemployment into gainful employment.

Check out the Forum's Countryboy in the classifieds. He makes a nice holster with customizations if you need them.

Check out Eric Larsen's products. His company is HBE Leatherworks. I have one of his IWB holsters for a FN Hi-Power pistol and it is fantastic. That is not a lightweight pistol by any means and this holster carries the gun very comfortably. I will be using more of his products in the future. I have several Milt Sparks VMII holsters and Eric's holsters rival the Sparks products in quality and fit & finish. Here is a link to his site: http://www.hbeleatherworks.com/

I like Sideguard Holsters. His prices are very reasonable and his wait time is 7 weeks. He is a also a member of this forum.

Here is his tuckable double snap and double mag carrier. It's a very comfortable IWB holster. Once I put it on, I usually forget its there. The mouth is rigid enough to re-holster one handed. Retension is excellent but it's still easy to draw from. It pulls the gun in tight to the body to minimize printing. My "double tuck snap" was $70. The mag carrier is also very comfortable.

Nick Matthews holsters have gotten a lot of good reviews. I really want to get one, but am happy with my Kramer.

Since he is local I would like to support him but last time I had talked to him his prices were higher than I was willing to pay for someone who just started making holsters.

I must say the quality of his work is good, but his customer service is amazing.

I got a clip holster for the girlfriend and she decided 4 months later she didn't want to carry. I sent him an email explaining that it was unused and he gave me a full refund. I was shocked.
