I recommend Kurt Russell on NetFlix in The Christmas Chronicles. It's really good...a bit cheesy, but good enough to sit around with the family and enjoy together. A few cameos that make it more fun if you look for them.

Just watched it with the kids, they were scared of Mrs. Claus.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Snake Plissken is Santa Claus!

I’m not capable of copying the photo so you’ll just have to follow the link.

The guitarist in that scene is Steven Van Zandt, former guitarist for Bruce Springsteen. He also played the role of Silvio on The Sopranos.

I thought this one was only ok. It was produced well enough but the actual story was very similar to a number of other movies. Kurt Russell's portrayal of a "not exactly a saint" Santa was the best part.

Definitely worth watching once. Probably not an annual tradition.

We turned it off rather quickly, in under 3 minutes, though I would like to watch it without our boys.
They are 5,3, and 1 so they are a bit young for it I felt. The opening seconds are insinuating there is no Santa and one of the first actual lines is mom running in and yelling “what the HELL is going on here?”
Boys are still a bit small for that around here.

Santa Plissken? I thought he was dead?

We enjoyed it as well.

It was ok, but wouldn't put in on my must see Christmas movies list every year.
