Kevin Can Wait Season 2: Canceled!
WOW. That was friggin’ pathetic how they covered his wife Donna’s death.

I don’t think this show will even last the entire season now.

I completely agree, turned it off and deleted the DVR after 5 minutes and I watched the entire season previously.
Terrible. Frown

Guess we aren't the only ones:

She looks bad too, too much injections into her lips and face.

My wife and I laughed about how they killed off the wife, a 3 second throw away comment, and that's all there was. The show was always mediocre, now its more so

I watched like 10 seconds of it and saw her face and laughed and changed the channel. So glad I never wasted time on this show.

Donna sucked...
Poor actress with poor timing. The chemistry was clunky and alkward.

Still too soon to see how this relaunch goes.

I hear that what's-his-name, who is an actor of the same talent as Rob Schneider, thinks he's freakin' Marlon Brando. If he wants to go into a store, Mister Big Shit sends in an advanced team to let everyone know to not make eye contact with His Royal Fucking Highness, and that's just incredible, because he's mediocre at best. He thinks he's some kind of superstar.

Just looking around, I ran into this page, which refers to the "retooling" of the show, and a comment on the article says it all : "Imagine retooling a show and having Kevin James be the part of what you keep."

Yep

I can't imagine wanting to watch that shit with Mister Superstar, Paul Blart, Mall Cop. Roll Eyes

Couldn't stand either of them in King of Queens. Never bothered watching Kevin Can Wait. So... yeah: Don't care.

Sounds pretty damn lame, though.

I still watch King Of Queens reruns. This is the worst show I've ever seen. How can they be so bad? I think they're trying to get dropped. Danny from KOQ is the best actor on this show.

People watched King of Queens to look at Leah Remini, not that Mister Bg Shit Superstar would ever figure that out.

Really?

I could not disagree with you more, I felt she worked pretty well with Kevin James. Was she a spiteful, mean bitch like the wife on King of Queens? NO. Was she sort of wry and goofy and ever-patient with Kevin's constant shit on this show? YES.

Now that's gone and I'm gone too!

Anyone still watching?

I was done after the first episode of season 2 but a promo came on last night while watching something else and it's pathetically clear that they are attempting to restart "King of Queens" but I don't think it's going to fly.

I am...

Plot on the agency is weak but there is definitely better chemistry.

Same humor...slam ”Doug the idiot” only now it’s Kevin.

It will fly if you liked KoQ...

See that's the thing I don't get, I watched Kevin Can Wait all last season and never got the impression that the chemistry between him and the (now deceased) wife was "bad". Only "different" than how it was with KOQ.

KOQ wife Carrie: frequently mean, manipulative and bitchy

Keven Can Wait wife Donna: frequently rolling eyes and sighing patiently at her oftentimes idiot husband's antics, but never ever mean or bitchy toward him.

I guess they figured people wanted mean and bitchy. Frown

I'm sure there's probably something that YOU watch that I would consider "dreck"...

Nope. I mostly watch movies but when I do watch a show it’s somethong like Bosch on Amazon, Narcos on Netflix, or The Deuce on HBO. Name one good network sitcom on television? Better yet name one good show of any kind on the big 4? Network television is made for the lowest common denominator. Cable and streaming services are now what independent film was in the 90’s. Good writing, good acting, edgy material, etc...
