And the Lumberjack Tavern, where the real world shooting took place that the movie is based on, is still open for business. Have a cheeseburger!
Also still open (and used as a movie set) in Big Bay is the Thunder Bay Inn. Also great food! The Mt. Shasta restaurant where the "juke joint" scene with Duke Ellington was shot is still standing in Michigamme, but closed.
During filming all the stars stayed at the Mather Inn in Ishpeming. They signed one of the walls and the signatures are still visible.
