Bingewatched the new Netflix mini-series "Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel." It's a well produced documentary on the "mysterious" disappearance of a young Canadian woman, that was last seen on video as she entered and exited a elevator which was inside a rather notorious Skid Row hotel in Los Angeles in 2013. The producers closely look at the police work involved and subsequent fallout, when the victim is discovered dead several weeks after being last seen, along with the criminal, civil, and human issues surrounding this incident, the internet, and our society generally.

While I successfully "guessed" the outcome of the investigation several hours before the ultimate ruling was made known and (I suspect) others with homicide investigation experience will do so too, this four part presentation is still well worth taking the time to watch, as it balances entertainment with real world education on human behaviors and consequences.

Nope. I don't want to give any spoilers, but it's pretty clear where and which law enforcement professionals screwed up. It's also clear that they have to live with the results of that mistake and consider what they left for other residents of the hotel to deal with..YUCK!!!!
