When I was still in high school back in the 70's we used to go to San Francisco to a place called "Winterland". It was at Post and Steiner. It's long closed now but I saw groups like the Stones, Steppenwolf, Humble Pie, Elvin Bishop, Stevie Wonder, Grateful Dead on New Year's Eve and a bunch of other groups I can't remember.

You Pink Floyd guys piss me off. I'd give my left nut to have seen them. I still have the unused ticket for the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour. I was active duty at the time and got called back and couldn't go. Mad

Been to many live shows, but probably my favorite of all was Three Dog Night. They played at the Montana State University fieldhouse one night and there were only about 2-300 people there. But...they played their asses off like they were playing for 20-30,000. We all were dancing down in front of the stage, and when they were done they mingled with and talked to the crowd for probably and hour afterwards. Damn, that was a great night.

Thanks mikeyspizza. Lots of good lists in this thread and a lot of grandpa hippies from the 60s and 70s. Big Grin The 70s were the best for me, lots of concerts, lots of great ones, price was right, great rock, hippie chicks, what more can I say?
