I'm glad I didn't give my . . . . Only saw them for about 15 minutes. Fortunately for me, my friend "lit up" first and was quickly arrested. We spent the rest of the night dealing with that. We were from Chicago and this was somewhere over the border in Wisconsin - Kenosha maybe? Feel sorry for the people who saw the show straight LOL!

I was listening to some Country this morning and recalled a couple of shows that we’ve seen in just the last couple years.

Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen together; and
Clint Black. I liked his stuff when he was a big act in Nashville. I understand that corporate Country radio makes it a practice to phase out a performer at about 50 and that’s what happened to Clint Black. He put on a great show. His voice is unchanged to my ear and he has a great band.

Back in the 70's when package shows were the thing.

Eddie Rabbit x 2
Tammy Wynette
TG Shepard
Bobby Bare
Narvel Felts
Stella Parton (twice if you count her singing at an auction sale.)
Con Hunlley

Saw the Oak Ridge Boys when they were switching over to country from gospel. Right after Ya'll Come Back Saloon came out.

80's

Cooter Daniels and Southern Style
Lee Greenwood
Alabama
Got a bad sunburn at that one.

The Guarneri String Quartet. For many years, they started their season off here in Richmond before moving to more sophisticated Roll Eyes places.
For several years, Arnold Steinheardt (their 1st violin) and I met after the performance and exchanged musician (mostly violist) jokes.

Lol! I'm going to rub salt in the wound...

Many of those shows I saw from first ten rows center, for free. Some were with backstage passes. Just so happened that I worked (in a different capacity) for the local promoter through most of the '70's. It was incredible. I was very lucky.
