Yes, many of the great films required an absolute sacrifice of sense of realism and logic; Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars, Alien, Magnum Force, North By Northwest, etc. Or TV shows like Breaking Bad or X-Files. The issue is that TWD simply does not have the writing and acting of the above mentioned.

I simply lost ALL interest, just stopped caring one iota after last season, 100% of my patience for the show ran out. At one point, especially with Shane, the show used to be really good, with occasional clunkers. Hell, even the fabled slow 2nd season was eons better than season 7. IMO, the last little gasp of life was the Governor storyline, and even that was at times painful to watch. When characters don’t develop through the years, when you cringe to hear a character open their mouths and speak, when the core story stays stagnant for long periods of time, when it becomes episode after episode of bad TV, you know it is time to stop watching

I cannot recall a TV series that has crumbled and deteriorated so much in its run. Maybe MASH, but not this horrible. It's really a shame, 7 years invested.

Yes. I agree with this in its entirety.

100% Agree.

I agree, and haven't watched Walking Dead in two or three years. Every season was just a rehash of every other season.

But some people like that. They like the familiar and don't like change.

Serious for real!? just kidding. I had no recollection either but apparently the hardcore fans remember him. Me? I was like 'ok google now who was Morales?'

I just went back and used my google fu, and even with that it's pretty fuzzy for me. Either way, he's back in the story.

This column has some great ideas on how to make a gunfight look better. Maybe the writers will read it...

First two episodes are hard to piece together. i have trouble if they do it sequentially even.

I don't know where in the time sequence is each scene.

I think Michone ends up getting killed. Rick says something to her like, "I'll be following you."

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." These first episodes were stupid. Since when did jesus find "Jesus". The guy tries to kill him and he still lets him live??? The opening scene with Carol was really confusing, I agree, with no explanation either. I have no idea where anybody is and whether they are winning or losing.

Really disjointed new season so far. Yeah, Morales? Who is that?

The explosion that Carol and the king are in was from the end of episode 1. So in episode 2, it picked up with the aftermath. I think it was a grenade.

Was that after they shot - a lot - at the guy who hid in/behind a car? It would have been helpful for them to include a few seconds of that in the "What happened last week" intro segment.

Your post reminds me of the frustrating twists in classic tv series where they let the bad guys live or continue. You know nothing good will come out of that.

AMC made the announcement this morning of a spin-off to the popular hit show The Walking Dead. "We hope it will be as successful as the original series and it will cost less to produce. We can have a script ready in 5 minutes", warned one of the show's producers. The new show, already in production, will be called The Real Zombiewives of Alexandria. The premiere will air on November 24 at 8:00 PM in a two-hour extravaganza which will be followed immediately after by a new edition of Gossiping Dead.

The premiere is tentatively titled--- Alexandria: Fairfax or Arlington?

So far not impressed...

Too many slow-mo drama-shit scenes...

They are over thinking it and stretching the battle out waaaay too far.

I agree, very confusing, don’t know who is where...and what is being attacked. Like where are Carol and the King going?

I'm glad I'm not the only one lost in this mess.

The show is too cute by half with it's wrap around references, time flips and dream sequences. It's like the producers demand a full level of commitment from the viewers to be in step with the show. Seeing them on Talking Dead, they think they're so smart. And yet the stuff that makes the show appealing just gets dumber and dumber.

Too much time with the show to give up now but it's a chore hanging in.

If I am thinking of the right guy. He was the one who took his family and split from the group at the end of season 1. Rick said something about him being from Atlanta. I have wondered several times when/if he would show back up.

ETA - Looks like they split right before going to the CDC.

I totally agree and go a bit further, the creators are just calling it in now and cashing checks. I have finally given up watching it and just track it in here to see if it will be worth streaming in a year or so. i have my doubts. such a bummer because I have been a zombie genre fan since I was 12 years old.

Unfortunately, TWD is venturing into "Lost" territory, with ridiculous plots, frantic editing (flashward's, flashback's, flashsideway's, etc.) deliberate character weirdnesses, overly dramatic fight scenes, etc., just for the sake of it.

'Lost' became unwatchable for me in its last three of four seasons, and TWD seems to be heading in that same dirction as well.

If my 13 y.o. son stays interested then I will continue watch it with him, because it is something (among a lot of things) that we enjoy doing together.

He likes TWD so much that he dressed up as Negan for Halloween, leather jacket, Lucille, and he even had some of Negan's mannerisms down pretty good!

Seems TWD might have more problems than the NFL.

This season's viewer ratings have fallen substantially, the show losing almost half it's audience from last season's opener.
