"I would have liked to have seen Montana."

Sam Neill in Red October.

+1 for Boromir in LOTR. His death was such a tragedy, of a great and honorable man beset by a critical weakness, who fell but redeemed himself in the end.

It was the same with the final scene in the "Blackadder Goes Fourth" series. A touching end to what was a comedy series about a tragic war.

"Black Hawk Down" The Delta trooper, "Chet" by Kim Coates, is blown in half, out of the back of the Deuce and is laying on the street. Tom Sizemore's "Lt. Col. McKnight" walks over to him, grabs his hand and the trooper says, "tell my girls I loved them."

The look on McKnight's face is awesome.

Brad Pitt taking on "his" grizzly at the end of Legends of the Fall.

Mal shooting the Fed in the face in the pilot of Firefly.

Hicks firing a burst into the floor after Hudson gets dragged down by aliens.

Chance getting blasted in the face by a shotgun in the middle of To Live and Die in LA. You don't see it coming.

The ending shootout in Heat where Pacino takes DeNiro's hand and offers him that small bit of companionship and respect as he dies.

Shughart and Gordon as portrayed in Black Hawk Down. Factual or not it moves me every time I see it.

Good one.

I like the Princess Bride scene "Give me back my father you son of a bitch!" When the Spaniard Montoya avenged his father's death and killed the man with 6 fingers on his right hand.

There was a scene in Hamburger Hill when a GI was grappling with a Viet, then picked up an M60 and fired it at him at point-blank range, blowing him apart in what looked like a hail of confetti

There have been some good ones, but here's one of my favorites.

The scene where Achilles kills Hector in "Troy". The whole scene is great.

There's no "I" in "team", but there are four in "platitude quoting idiot".

Johnny Ringo: My fight's not with you, Holliday.

Doc Holliday: I beg to differ, sir. We started a game we never got to finish. "Play for Blood," remember?

Johnny Ringo: Oh that. I was just foolin' about.

Doc Holliday: I wasn't.

Not to sound like a pansy, but that scene got me too. It was so tough to see Fred, obviously dying, and wanting to help the team find a cure but not being able to. As well as Wesley, who was so completely in love with her, lying to her face that she is going to be alright, when he knows that she isnt. It gets me everytime that i see it.

Another one that gets me is Mellish at the end of Saving Private Ryan. when he is struggling with the german with the bayonet.
