G*dd*mn! Marisa Tomei is FINE!
At 45+ shes better looking than most of the Hollywood Good movie. Great performance by Rourke. I agree The Wrestler was a really good movie. I was rooting for Mickey Rourke to get the Best Actor Oscar. It's arguably the best performance of his career. Even better than "Marv" from Sin City! Heh heh.
Also in agreement: Marisa Tomei is freaking luscious. It's amazing she has a body like that for a woman over 40. Damn, so many women "hit the wall" and sag all to hell after age 25. Of course, she's always had that wonderfully beautiful face. Bet's she's broken a few hearts! |

Wow, I did not know she was 45. She looks amazing, better than most chicks do at 25.

Very good movie. I thought the casting of Marisa Tomei was perfect, her true age gave her character just the right look, as her character was probably supposed to be early-mid thirties, but had a hard life. She still looks great...but her younger self circa "My Cousin Vinnie" would have looked too perfect for this role IMO.

exactly...the way she looks around the club, she's realizing she's losing it, that she can't keep attracting customers. She, naturally, is going thru the same realization that Randy does...Father time is catching up and that they are both alone.

Very dark movie- but I did enjoy it.
I was hoping for a 'happier' Hollywood ending but it just wasn't to be. The leopard can't change his spots. I really felt the mid-life crisis for both characters- that time had passed them by. The scene in the deli was awesome- I read somewhere he basically improvised a lot of that dialogue. 209 Amateurs practice until they get it right. Professionals practice until they can't get it wrong. |

Loved this movie. And I agree. Tomei is so luscious. Also check her out in "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead". "You have the right not to be killed..." The Clash, "Know Your Rights" |

She is also an Oscar wining actress!
Into her? I recommend you rent a copy of "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead", which by the way is also a very good movie... |

Best movie of last year, IMO. Sad story of two people who just aren't going to continue with their current gigs for much longer but who don't really have a plan B. And yes, I'd so love to take Marisa Tomei home for a while and deeply, deeply dissapoint her...
