Couldn't disagree with the OP more. Let me throw in 'The Dead Zone', with Christopher Walken, to the list of "good" Stephen King movies.

Wife and I saw IT yesterday. I liked it. The guy playing Pennywise was creepy as hell. I didn't realize it would only cover their childhood though. I'm in for part 2.

It's cool that this movie is 27 years after the TV mini-series.

I don't know if that is a coincidence or intentional, but if it's intentional, that's very well played.

For those that don't know, in King's IT, Pennywise resurfaces in the town of Derry to terrorize its children every 27 years.

i forgot that it's a two-parter. Saw it today.

I prefer the tv version of the clown. I also think they missed out on the key methods the kids used to vanquish the monster.

Maybe I'm getting old fashioned but I appreciated them putting shorts under the dress of Beverly. I also missed the cards in the bycicle spokes.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Just saw It. Didn't care for It. It made me wish I had just stayed home and rewatched Stranger Things. Or Tobe Hooper's (R.I.P.) '79 TV adaptation of King's Salem's Lot.

Heck, I'd even have rather rewatched Dreamcatcher! At least that had Morgan Freeman with massive eyebrows and AH-64 Apaches! Razz

We just came back from the movie theater.
When we came out, the film director was in the lobby signing autographs, drawing cartoonish pennywises and beign very much likeable. A young, tall and nice looking dude. Had no clue he had family ties with my country. He sounded like a native.

Wife took the opportunity to make it a kodak moment.

Wow I didn't even pick up on that. I liked it, I'd say 6.5 of 10. I thought the child actors did well. Some of the movie seems like a weird afterthought like the bully plot line but overall I thought it was good.
