Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Genesis - Selling England by the Pound
Allman Brothers Live at the Fillmore East
The Pretenders (first album)

And certainly, as posted already, most of the early Led Zeppelin albums.

Another vote for Layla, Quadrophenia, Aja, and the Doors first album. All superb.

Black Stone Cherry - Family Tree, or any of BSC's albums, really! Awesome Southern Rock band!

Also, anything A7X, if you can handle metal.

drat, swear I didn't see it.
double drat for being beaten to it. Foiled again.

As for Black Sabbath 4, there are some gems, but I think their albums aren't well produced. Some great songs, some great parts of songs, but they are disjointed at times. Granted, I still play all of the albums Smile

Johnny Winter, 2nd Winter
Bob Marley, Natty Dread

Whip-smart too really.

Benny Goodman's 1938 concert at Carnegie Hall.
Musicians included Benny Goodman, Harry James, Lionel Hampton and Gene Krupa. Their rendition of "Sing, Sing, Sing" will make your toes curl.

One of the few albums that I play at least several times a month. I own two copies of the vinyl box, and two CD releases.

Ok, so a few from my library:

Licensed to ill - Beastie Boys
Pyromania - Def Leppard
Hysteria - Def Leppard
1984 - Van Halen (I propose that Panama is the perfect Rock-n-Roll song)
5150 - Van Halen ( I know I know . . . )
Slippery When Wet - Bon Jovi
Metallica - Metallica (the black album)
Heart - Heart

Cracked Rear View - Hootie and the Blowfish
Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs - Marty Robbins (I have had this album since my childhood).

All of these were important to me in one way or another.
