Looks really good.

I've heard that Gibson and Caviezel are also making a sequel to Passion.

We saw it last Friday. I'd recommend it.

How is the content for younger viewers? Like 10-15 year old range?

It shows Christians burning (one of them alive) as street lamps. I'd say that was the worst of it.

There's an old hymn, the words by James Russell Lowell, called "Once to Every Man and Nation". As a high school kid in the choir, this verse was memorable:

quote:
By the light of burning martyrs, Christ, Thy bleeding feet we track,
Toiling up new Calv’ries ever with the cross that turns not back;
New occasions teach new duties, time makes ancient good uncouth,
They must upward still and onward, who would keep abreast of truth.

Here is a good review of the movie. There are spoilers at the end, but he warns you before he starts talking about them.

He's a historian/pastor.

Yes, and it should be good.

Supposed to take place in the period of time from Christ's resurrection to his ascension back into Heaven.

Caviezel is one of my favorites.
Looking forward to this.
