Wow, I like me some post-apocalyptic movies but this one was particularity twisted! Was playing around with the Roku Channel and it showed up and I watched it but it was one messed up movie.

For those who have seen it, was there ever an explanation why everyone in the fucked-up underground biodome had white-face clown makeup on?

I know it was based on a book, so maybe it was explained there. Almost as shocking as the atom-bomb-worshiping mutants in Beneath The Planet of The Apes!

Read the book long ago. Didn't know there was a movie.

Ending was quite humorous, though.

A boy loves his dog! I read the story before seeing the movie. My dad read it too, he named his Ford van "Blood"

It was a long time ago. Directed and possibly written by L.Q. Jones, the well known western character actor. I just remember it being looking like it was shot at night and all the scenes were very dark. Hard to watch for that reason, particularly on television.

It is one of my guilty pleasure movies, but likely because it was one of my favorite short stories by one of my favorite Speculative Fiction authors.

It wasn't as good as the book, but it wasn't bad.

All you really need to know about the nature of it is that it was written by Harlan Ellison...he also wrote the Star Trek episode: City on the Edge of Forever

That was the same movie.

Jones also is uncredited in the porn film in that movie

That is a good flick.

Read it, then watch it.

Then read It’s A Good Life, by Jerome Bixby, then watch the Twilight Zone episode.

Ellison was a unique character, to say the least. His "Repent, Harlequin!' Said the Ticktockman" is one of the most, if not the most, reprinted stories in the English language. I was once given my weight in jelly beans on a certain birthday, by my college confederates, better explained in the story. Jingle, jingle....
