I took my son to see Clone Wars today. About all I can say is "Wow".

If you are like me and the only redeeming quality of the Prequels is the big battle scenes then you need to see this movie. It gives a quick recap like a serial and then jumps in start to finish with action.

The animation is really good with some interesting camera angles. I can't wait for the rest of the series now.

Took my 8yo son to see it today as well (he gets the Star Wars gene from me)and we both enjoyed it. I was a little disappointed that the beginning wasn't right in line w/ the rest of the movies (fanfare w/ text scrolling..and the theme was just enough different to make me wonder "huh").
But yes, epic battle scenes galore!

Just got back from seeing it. I was fairly impressed. There was one point where my almost 5 year old said, "Daddy, this is a pretty long movie," but other than that, no complaints. The dialogue was so-so but an an improvement over the live action prequels (which really isn't saying much).

I was VERY impressed with the animation. The backdrops and characters had an oil-painting effect and texture to them, and you could even see the texture shadows on the character's armor and facial lines - impressive.

Battle scenes were great, and even though Christoper Lee's voice was the only voice actor that I recognized, it still maintained enough Lucasarts look and feel to pass as a fill-in of the prequels.

I don't know if I'd see it again paying full price, but I'll definitely see it with friends at a matinee in the near future.

My son and I saw it this afternoon. He got the Star Wars fever from me as well. Smile We both thought the movie was awesome. I agree that I would ahve liked the beginning to be classic Star Wars, but oh well. Anthony Daniels did C3PO's voice, Christopher Lee was Count Dooku, Samuel L Jackson was Mace Windu... they were are the original characters. That was nice. The guy who they got for the voice of Obi-Wan was pretty-much dead on as well!

Took my 7 yr old yesterday. He's really into StarWars (I'm such a proud dad... :-)

Anyway, the movie was a lot of fun. The CG was done well and the voice acting was better than most of the prequel work.

Now I just have to look up when Cartoon Network begins the rest of the series. The movie is just an intro.

Being a Star Wars nut, I cant wait to see it. My son is only two, so unfortunatly he is not going with me, that would have been great to see it with him. Wait until the live action show comes out, rumor is it will be on HBO next year.

Just went with the wife and 7 year old son. I asked the wife how she liked it, and she said "It was good if you like battle, battle, battle."

Yeah , baby!

It's geared towards kids and scores well on that point, but the only times any adults grimaced were the scenes involving Jabba's (CLEARLY)transvestite uncle Ziro the Hutt.
Action was great, animation was cool, and overall it was a good time for my son and I.

GRRR... alright I'll go see it. Wink

I've been fighting it, wanting to hate it, wanting to see Lucas piss his fans off again.

Lucas had his chance to rope me in again with the prequels. He failed miserably, and I refuse to give the man any more of my money.

To inject a totaly SW nerd fact: Hutts can change sex at will, and in order to give birth Jabba himself must have become a "woman" to do so. They are really asexual, but can become more "female-like" at times, so he wasnt really a tranny

Sooooo... the bigger issue now is whether or not Jabba was a male or female when he licked and fondled Princess Leia during her captivity.

Depending on the answer that could now be considered a lesbian scene!

I dunno, this may put a different spin on it!
