Six Days on Netflix
Just debuted recently. About the Embassy siege in London circa 1980.

Good movie. Worth a watch.

Solid MP5 and BHP action.

Watched it Sunday. A good flick, at times a little slow, but the mix of a period piece (1980) and present-day cinematography is an interesting juxtaposition.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

agree

if you watch it as an 'action' movie you may be disappointed

if you watch as a 'suspense / drama' movie with some action - it's quite good IMO.

I enjoy good movies with actors unknown to me - so this one was a hit.

no kidding - and how about those 80s vintage flashlights mounted to the MP5s... Big Grin

those BMFs from the SAS got the job done though.

Maggie Thatcher wasn't playing.

Absolutely. I watched it Sunday night. I think it was better than any other adaptation of Princes Gate.

Too many inaccuracies. Both the training missions depicted as well as the rescue sequences in the film are wrong. The film supposed there were just eight assaulters taking part. There were five teams of eight men assaulters who stormed the embassy and they were not depicted? A lance corporal leading the assault? It is laughable and not true to the those who took part in the Nimrod op at Princess gate...

I was very much looking forward to this film. Watched it on NetFlix last weekend. Hmm, I liked Mark Strong's portrayal of the negotiator. Parts of the raid I thought were well done but overall I was disappointed in the film.

This review sums it up for me:
