Great selections. From a bit out of left field:

Southern Culture on the Skids - Dirt Track Date

SCotS has some fantastic surf guitar and tongue in cheek lyrics over the years.

Also:
Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes.

Damn, this is tougher than picking out my favorite gun.

I can think of a whole bunch but not all are going to appeal to many, let alone all. I stayed away from greatest hits collections but there are a few of those that I listen to, and often. Trying to limit myself to just a few, won't include classical, but it's a tough pare-down all around:

Temple of the Dog - self-titled
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Tower of Power - Back to Oakland
Diana Krall - Love Scenes
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Couldn't Stand the Weather
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
David Lindley - El Rayo-X
Chuck Leavell - Forever Blue
Smithereens - Especially for You
Bruce Springsteen - The River
Tool - Lateralus and 10,000 Days, usually one right after the other
Metallica - Master of Puppets
B.B. King & Eric Clapton - Riding with the King
Evanescense - Fallen
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Street Survivors
Karrin Allyson - Ballads: Remembering John Coltrane
early pre-Warner R.E.M.
Allman Brothers - Eat a Peach
Eric Clapton - Unplugged
Tom Petty - Full Moon Rising
anything Pixies
Earth, Wind & Fire - Gratitude
Death Angel - The Art of Dying
Nirvana - Nevermind
Judas Priest - Screaming for Vengeance
John Coltrane - Giant Steps
Boston - self-titled

There still are many others of many genres that I listen to all the way through, just because I like 'em and want to...

Be Bop Deluxe, LIVE! In the Air Age

If I was limited to a single album for the rest of my life, it would be this one, and if I was limited to one song, it would be Adventures in a Yorkshire Landscape from this album. That song screams into my soul.

The Glitch Mob, Drink the Sea

Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon
This album got me through one of the worst periods of depression in my life. I listened to it over and over.

Tangerine Dream, Encore

And while its not an album, this videotaped concert by Amy Winehouse

I'm listening to it right now, and all I can say is "Why is it women with such incredible voices are do fucked up in the head?"

Southern Harmony and Musical Companion by The Black Crowes. Anything of theirs, really, but this one is their best.

White Zombie - La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol 1.

From start to finish including all the included sound bytes, is a perfect album. Nothing wrong with it, everything is magnoficent.

I'll also throw Above by Mad Season out there. Listen on vinyl and you can really feel the torture in Layne Staley.

Lots of members know BBD, but until I became a member here no one I knew had heard of them

Another sign of our exquisite taste.

That's one of my favorites though I believe it is a greatest hits album which is why I didn't note it.

If it is a greatest hits album, I think it is one of the best greatest hits albums if not the best.

Oh and another for the topic:

Jefferson Starship - Red Octopus.
