Wycliffe - A Brit Mystery Series on Prime
My wife and I have been watching Wycliffe on Prime. It runs five seasons, about six episodes per season like Shetland. We've enjoyed it and I thought y'all might like to check it out.

Thanks. I'm always on the lookout for a decent show to watch. After I'm finished with Peaky Blinders, perhaps I'll check this one out next.

I will check it out. I am just finishing up Hinterlands on Netflix.
It has a dark story line but was excellent. It is set in Wales, which is beautiful but desolate. The series is beautifully filmed.
This begs a question:
Just how did the Brits get so good at at mystery and police / crime series? With some notable exceptions (Bosch, The Wire, True Detective) most shows that are American stink!

better actors and or scripts, and less 'drama',

I'll put Wycliff in my que on prime,

I have Hinterland in my que on Netflix, will start it probably after I finish Penny Dreadful,

as far as UK series,

Bodyguard
River
Broadchurch,
Luther,

all are excellent

Watched two episodes of Wycliff last night. This show is an anthology from 1995, shot in 4x5 480i; That alone will keep me from watching any more of it on my new 4K tv. Mildly interesting, predicable plots, but the beautiful scenery is wasted on lo-def.

I'll add Shetland and Vera to the list. The $6.99 monthly charge for Britbox has been well worth it
