Fighting the good fight

Starts January 10th on FX.

This 8 episode miniseries was created by Tom Hardy, Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, Allied, Eastern Promises, Locke) and Chips Hardy (Tom Hardy's father).

Looks quite interesting.

Yeah, looks like I might have to watch that. I like the historical stuff more than most of the modern shows.

I've set my DVR to record it. At least the trailer looks good.

I thought the first episode was very good; well written and acted. Well worth watching...

Producing a work so well set in the early 1800's must be quite a task.

I enjoyed the first episode. It definitely got off to an intriguing start.

Well Put. I understand that Michael Kelly (from House of Cards) will be on the show starting on this week's episode. I work with his sister.

I love anything with Tom Hardy in it, def enjoyed the first episode. I like the idea of a small mini series. I wish more TV shows went that route vs. drawing a story out for 5+ seasons.

Looks like FX has another winner! I really enjoyed it too and am looking forward to next week's episode.

I really like the show so far. I'm just up to Episode 3, so no spoilers please.

I just made this for a "hat band". It is to ensure that should I perish, I'll have at least 2 shillings to ensure that I am buried deep enough!

Hardy has been my favorite actor for a while now. Everything he touches has quality to it, they may not all be blockbusters, but I can't say any of them stink.

I'm waiting for the season to end so I have something to binge.

This show bores me to no end, but my wife likes it.

Has Tom Hardy been decent in anything other than The Dark Knight Rises? I have seen him is several things, and don't get the hype about the guy.

Hardy was great in Inception as well as The Revenant. He's been great in smaller roles too, like Peaky Blinders.

I liked him in "Lawless," even if Shia LaMerde has a major role in it.

I'm watching Taboo. I think it's pretty good

It is slow and, with the heavy accents and lots of mumbling, almost tedious.

The agenda is too obvious. Ultra capitalist East India Trading Company is the epitome of evil. The Hardy character spent time in Africa so of course he's now imbued with some special magic and is the perfect foil for the bad guys. That seems to be where we're going here with some sordid sex and lurid violence for good measure.

I said I wouldn't watch after the second episode but I'm hanging in there, the stylish production keeps me going. That and the nits that have to be picked.

I keep wanting Hardy's character to take a bath. Guess this is realism, but the dirt's a bit over done IMO. I spend most of the show telling my wife, "I don't know" when she asks what he just said. I think I prefer "Frontier" on Netflix.
