Borderlands is a FPS that I picked up for the PC.
First thoughts are that it is a blast! There are tons of weapons and tons of baddies to shoot. I like the feel of the game. It's not realistic like COD. But has the slightest hint of "cartoony" feeling to it. But it's not too much to take away from the game. I think this actually allows me to get a higher fps on my PC. All in all... If you like running around shooting stuff and leveling up your character. It's loads of fun! "Be not that far from me, for trouble is near; haste Thee to help me. Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me" |

Good to hear! I like the looks of the ads and what I've seen of the demo.
I'm looking at that game for PS3. Do not send me to heaven where there are no dogs. Buy quality and only cry once. Wisdom means: Having a lot to say, but not saying it. |

I got it for the Xbox and I've been playing it the past couple days. It's a lot of fun. Doing quests and running around, while finding randomized weapons for the fps aspect is a hoot

I have to agree, I've been playing for the last two weeks. (on PS3) Solid, Fun game. I've been solo playing to see the world at my own pace and playing a co-op - very fun. The killing and the looting are great fun...

I have to say that the DMR sucks on the game (PC). There are a lot of accounts of legitimate owners who aren't able to play. I had to uninstall it, update all my drivers then reinstall. It seems to work but now I'm stuck and I can't figure out if it's a bug or not. I'm just past the initial drop off point where you walk down the road and kill the outlaws or whatever they are. Now I'm at an area with a car on blocks and a bunch of graves. The Wall-e knockoff is sitting next to a building and I know there is a guy inside but I can't do anything.
**figured it out another bad .exe... It works again. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Jeffy, |

Any one else put a few rounds into "wall-e" when he won't stop screaming: "Look at me! I'm dancing?"

Same thing happened to me. I had to start a new character to get the game to progress. Hasn't happened since. Everything else worked fine. ------------------------------ It's just tomato sauce, and I don't explode cats. It's way too difficult to coax them into the microwave. -Pintsize |

I got a bit further. I killed Nine-toes and jumped the gulch. The buggy sure makes killing harder enemies easier. |

I have it for the 360, pretty fun game. Finally beat it the other day and was well pleased with the amount of work that had to be put into it in order to finish it.
I started my second playthrough as a level 37 Siren. If you thought killing Skags was hard before, wait until you come up on a Badmutha Skag. The 2nd playthrough is definitely insane. |

A little, same color tone, same wasteland(ish) hellscape, they both are played as a FPS (sort'a). Borderlands is at it heart a shooter, with a fun albeit twisted scene of humor. Half of the fun is collected cool toys and trying to find even cooler ones to upgrade to. Charater development is limited, but less so than you'd find in a true FPS like Halo. Fallout 3 is a RPG seen though a FPS lens, there more character development and moral choices to be made. The co-op mode in borderlands makes for a really fun time. edited: for stupidity. So where is everyone who's playing? I'm at Lvl 19 and finished all of the side missions before the boss, Sledge. I finally have enough shields and firepower that the enemies that I've come up against, aren't too difficult.
