Is it just me, or did Nolan totally take the "scarecrow" character from the first movie down a peg or two? He was just some two-bit hack running around getting caught with the batman wannabes. I was hoping that after he took the taser to the face on the island of crazy-gas, that he'd be somewhat more of a hardass. |

I finally saw TDK last night and as I was leaving the theater I thought to myself, where do the Batman movies go from here? Certainly not up. This movie should have been called 'Batman, The End' because between BTB and TDK they just about cover every facit of the Batman character. Everything else from now on will just look like the TV series.

I was told by a die hard comic guy that this is pretty much what happened to the Scarecrow. After what happened he could never return to a legit medical practice and without the backing and business of Falcone he ended up peddling his formula on the streets. Even if it didn't happen that way in the comics, it does make sense in the context of these two films. "You are, what you do, when it counts." -The Masao |

Finally saw it on IMAX after the showings stopped selling out. Fantastic. As a Batman fan, I was pleased. Great script, direction and acting, in particular Heath Ledger. As others have stated, it's not just a comic book movie, but a crime epic.
If Morisa Tomei can win an Oscar for My Cousin Vinnie, Ledger deserves one, hands down. "I'm not a shoot-first-ask-questions-later survivalist by any means, but I grew up in a neighbourhood where every second house was a bombsite -- a little like downtown Baghdad today. I have no heart for war, but I have no heart either to stand quietly waiting for someone to kill everyone in my neighbourhood before I look to protect myself. It is a tricky time for the West. The rules have changed. Don't get fooled again folks. Remember Pearl Harbour." - Pete Townshend |

I really enjoyed it. I was thinking of taking my wife to the IMAX version. IS it the same movie, or dont they have to edit it down for IMAX?

Same movie, you just get the full effect of the six or so scenes they shot with the IMAX cameras. In essence, the theater version has been modified from the original. Finally got a chance to see The Dark Knight at an IMAX theater; very good but not mind blowing like it was being made out to be, IMO. I found Christian Bale's throaty deep voice whenever he was Batman a bit distracting.
Is it just me or is Kate Dawes/Maggie Gyllenhaal like that old Seinfeld episode with the woman that looked hot in certain light or angles, but hideous in others? There were some scenes where I was like "Man,she is hot", then it would go to another scene with her and I was thinking "eeeeekk", LOL “It took a Carter to bring us a Reagan” PALIN-PETRAEUS '12 |

Saw the movie Saturday night with the wife and her little brother. We all liked it - and trust me she is hard to please.
I for one would like to see it a second time as I am sure there was some stuff I missed. She was excited about the new Bond movie coming out. __________________________ 1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; II Timothy 3: 1-4 |
