Recall the shootout on the bridge between the bootlegers and the Untouchables and the Mounties? That was shot on an old steel bridge over the Missouri River south of Cascade, Montana.

This was taken the last day the crew was on scene. I was working, stopped down to say goodby and was able to get into one of the photos.

Thought that any of you who caught the movie tonight on AMC would find a MT Highway Trooper with the "Untouchables" of interest.

As this all took part in my patrol area I was involved with the road closures, etc. So I was there quite a lot over the month they shot on scene. I spoke with Connery, and the rest of them quite a lot. He often refered to me as "the Constable'. A name that a few of the other Troopers picked up and it took me ten yrs before they all finally forgot it.

It WAS like 1987 or 1988!

Not quite as bad as the "Porno Star" stache all of us sported in the wild 70's.

I think you just broke the Awesome Machine. If that were me, I'd have that picture hanging in every room in my house. My tombstone would just be a giant blowup of that picture with an arrow pointing at me and a caption that said, "That's how he rolled."

Seriously cool picture.

I mean, Nitti had a mustache sometimes....Wink

Bad ass! A killer 'stache and a nickname from Sean Connery? Too much.

Wow, you look like you fit right in the cast. At first glance I thought that was from the movie and you were the "Mountie".

What a treasure!
