I haven't watched it but I did get an email warning about it from my school district where I have a freshman and a 5th grader about its take on suicide etc. they have counselors on hand, etc etc

I looked at it on Netflix....doesn't seem like the kind of thing my kids would watch

I think it's absolutely something your kids should watch followed by an honest discussion.
It illustrates how one kid(s) can destroy another's life and to be more aware of their actions in how it could harm another.

I thought it was really stupid, only watched because my wife's depressed teenage sister who constantly threatens to kill herself is super into it.

3rd season out
I didn't like it until I was 1/2 was through the 13 episodes and then it became really good, didn't see the last ep yet.
