If anyone is looking for a good movie, yesterday just came out on Redbox and we saw it over the weekend. I thought it was a fun concept and very well done:

The premise is, what if we woke up one day and The Beatles had never happened? This one guy does that and only HE recalls them and knows their music:

I grew up with the Beatles so enjoyed the music very much. But what made the movie for me was it was somewhat of an original idea. So the premise was refreshing.

Finally something DIFFERENT from Hollywood.

Was it from Hollywood though? I think this was a British film and not from ideas-bankrupt-let's-pump-out-9,000-crappy-superhero-movies-Hollywood

great flick - saw it in the theater when it came out here

and it wasn't made by Hollywood - they're not that mentally agile - it was a British film and very well done at that

The music still brings tears to my eyes.

Expected 'Something' at some point but it never came.
Refreshing movie.

This may have been the best movie I've seen this year. Certainly up there.

On a related note, I just saw Rocketman (Elton John), and it didn't tickle me quite as much, though still good.

You guys absolutely correct. I should have said "from the film industry".

Yes... One of the greatest songs ever wrote, in my opinion.
Along with most songs by the “Other” great song whiter Kris Kristofferson.

It's in the extended cut. (I think it should have been left in.) Here's the deleted scene:

That looks like a great movie. I am definitely going to check it out.

Coincidentally, I was out driving this afternoon and "Martha My Dear" popped up on my phone's iTunes player. It had been so long since I'd heard anything by The Beatles that I just started playing one song after another.

Wow, did they make a lot of great music.

Watched it last night, what a really great movie. Rare are those movies that you feel good after watching. Other than a few "F" bombs, you could watch it with your children. With no "PC messages" jammed down your throat.

But make sure you like Beatles music.

This movie is very enjoyable even if you're not a Beatles fan.

^^ So agree. I'm actually not a big Beatles fan per se, but I really loved the movie.

Sony/ATV bought out the publishing rights from the Jackson estate. Apple Corps Ltd. and Vivendi Universal Music Group own the actual recordings. However, Paul McCartney is currently in negotiations to get all of the music back.

My wife and I watched this movie this evening.

It was a simple, fun movie to watch.

It was the best movie I have seen in a long time.

No politics, no violence, no assholes (except for one, and she played it well). And, we all have or are that friend Rocky.

LOVED IT TOO!!!!

Just an enjoyable movie to watch.
