Tons of truth in both of these statements. The time for being picky was seven or eight months ago, and may come again in the future, but it isn’t now. Now is the the time to grab whatever quality AR you can find in 5.56/.223 and whatever ammo you can find. Pretty much everyone changes out all kinds of stuff on their first AR, so spending a lot on extras right out of the gate doesn’t make any sense. If you snooze, you lose.
