jjkroll32Vintage optics repair companies? - Old Carl Zeiss Jena
I thought I might get a little more visibility in the Rifle Room, Arc feel free to move if you prefer.
I recently inherited a vintage pair of Carl Zeiss Jena Telexem 6x binoculars with a serial number in the 355,000 range.
The left side lenses all look excellent and crisp. The right sided lenses look as though one may be cracked or shifted as there is a line across and the right side seems dimmer.
I am trying to learn more about the pair of binoculars and also was hoping to learn about companies that repair or refurb older optics. They don't seem to be particularly valuable in terms of dollars, but they hold some sentimental value.
Thanks for looking and for your help.

Redleg06I used Suddarth to do some much needed maintenance on a pair of Westinghouse 7x50 artillery binoculars (w/mil reticle) that I'd picked up. They did a great job at a reasonable price.

valkyrie1Since the Jena plant was in east Germany you just might want to try the factory repair sight. The Jena glass was excellent.
