I need some feedback from the group. I purchased is sig 516G2 in 2013. I've put over a thousand rounds through it to date. I went to the range this past week & had no issues; however, when I got home and cleaned the weapon, I found gouges on the inside of the upper receiver Close to the feed ramp on both sides. I'll attach pictures to include a picture of the extractor spring if there is a way to do this within my message.. The extractor spring looks like it may need to be replaced as well and I don't know if that has anything to do with what happened. I called sig and they're going to send me an RMA to send the upper receiver back in for evaluation. Has anyone else who has a sig 516G2 experienced this and if so, do you know what the cause is? I appreciate your feedback.
