Preferably something smooth sided... I don't want pockets, pouches or molle on the sides. Nor a "sleeve style" like a regular soft gun case with dividers. And preferably something that doesn't cost half what the gun does.

5.11 used to have a nice double rifle bag that was affordable.

My experience with Bulldog cases hasn't been very good, light use only.

My 5.11 cases have been fine.
Tie downs secure the uppers on one side.
Rifle on the other.

Depending on the length of your uppers, you may also wish to get a surplus 249 spare barrel case.

I use these as well as an Fn MAG spare barrel case for longer uppers.

I ran across this the other day and it piqued my interest. It might be a tight fit, I haven't done the measurements yet, but it's pretty close to the one you posted. If you use a small optic and keep your brace close it might work.

Not sure what you're putting in there but the UTG Covert might work as well, it's 25x12 with a 22x10 "pocket" which can hold either mags or another gun (CZ Scorpion fits in there nicely).
