Playing/debating off many other discussions, and after reading all the comments on Butcher777's recent Sig 556 post, I have found myself in an unusual position. I don't often have trouble making decisions, so I ask of you all... one rifle stays and one goes. Help me with my decision PLEASE.
Why sell one? I don't shoot nearly as much since I moved to Florida a few years ago. I may shoot even less if I get transferred to NY or Chicago (a real possibility). My only outlet is a public range as I don't know enough farmers/landowners here. Xmas is coming. I want a Benelli M4. My wife & kids have enough hobbies/interests to keep me mortgage poor and lusting for steak. Things are tightening up to say the least!
Contestant No. 1 is a Noveske Light Recce that I built on a Noveske lower about a year ago. Shoots great, looks great, and is AR light. Yeah, it's an AR15. At the end of the day, I still kinda have a soft spot the Colt rollstamp. I'll probably kick myself later for offing this. I've got a Colt, two actually, but one is a POS and sentimental, and one is unfired in the box that I'm keeping for my son (or a SHTF Legion?!). Noveske has the complete mid length recce upper w/ 16" barrel, an Emod buttstock, two stage trigger, Magpul trigger guard, a bunch of Pmags, MOE grip, and the AAC flashider. This has had 56 rds shot through it in two sessions. My plus> parts are plentiful and it's lighter. I like Noveske. I like his quality, his business model, and supporting the little guy that will be king.
#2 is a Sig 556 Commando. Came from the first Commando run in 2/2008. I have all the original parts, but replaced the front sight to an authentic Swiss one with the flip up night sight. It lines up perfect with the added Aurora drum rear. Has the folder but is currently wearing a fixed tube. I didn't much care for the folder as it felt really cheap. I made a shell defelector from 3M invisible auto mask so the finish is still perfect. Has a Magpul trigger guard, Marcomar Swiss style flash suppressor, NATO bayonet lug, Aurora pins, a few green Pmags, as well as the original case, mag, stickers, manual, and case candy. This rifle IS heavier than the AR but shoots like a dream. For me, the sights just work. I shoot this really, really well. Weight doesn't bother me that much either, but an ACOG makes it a wee bit too much. It's green, it gets tons of comments (first rifle people ask about), but I'm falling out of love with Sig Sauer in most other areas. My plus> I got the good sights, it's reliable as a fork, accurate, and easy to clean. I had hoped more people would be selling 556 goodies by now though.
So, there it is. This isn't a solicitation for a sale. I'll post in the classifieds if the usual suspects (friends) don't show interest. If you were to keep only one, what would you hang onto and why? If you can make one of those knock out logical arguments, I'm listening! Thanks Sigforum.

Keep the Sig. You got a good one, you shoot it well, and it will be harder to replace in the future since buying a new 556 can be a roll of the dice it seems. That and Sig is phasing out the ER lower that accepts M4 type stocks, all new ones are supposed to have the Classic lower. You can always pick up another AR15 variant of some sort in the future, and you already have 2 others.

Well owned and fired both. I currently use a Noveske. It's like an Ed Brown or Wilson Combat in AR format. I still like and use my 6920, but Noveske's are a different class.

Question: If you were to keep just one of the two rifles described, which one? Comments appreciated.
Keep the 556 Commando. ARs are a dime a dozen. You already have 2 Colts.
My first thought is keep the Noveske, but since you say you've got two other ARs, i might be more inclined to keep the different rifle, the SIG, even though the Noveske is a sweet rifle.
Tough choice. I'd say Noveske stays, but with two other ARs in the stable, i'd probably keep the SIG.
