Cool. Looks pretty well executed.

Only thing i don't like is the little rinky-dink charging handle. Could they have made it any smaller? At least a GSG5 cocking knob is the right size.

A flash suppressor would have been nice, but i assume the muzzle is 1/2x28, which shouldn't prove an obstacle to easily finding something to stick on there.

Wonder how much mags cost.

If the street price on that is $500 or under, i'm in once some range reports and reliability reports come in.

Some of the units were displayed with flash hiders, some with "tactical trainers" and others with thread protectors..

I suspect the will be shipped with a thread protector

Now here's the magic question, since SIG likes to do the last minute swap, are they going to keep that railed handguard?

Now wait just a minute, they can bastardize the big brother but make a .22 with all of the right parts(factory folder / correct forearm)?

Maybe SIG is learning from thier mistakes. Big Grin

Since this rifle is made by the same company that gave us the GSG-5 and Mosquito masterpieces I wont get on any pre-order list or hold my breath.
If you don't have to buy airsoft accessories (a la GSG-5) and it actually works (as opposed to the Mosquito) I might consider getting one...

gose,

Before you badmouth a new product, why don't you wait until they hit the shelves of dealers, and people ACTUALLY SHOOT ONE.

1. Who gave you the info that the GSG and Mosquito are made by the same company??

2. WHAT COMPANY IS IT??

3. DO YOU OWN a Mosquito? I've sold nearly 100 over the last couple of years and they are darn fun guns that work fairly well.

I'm tired of seeing people ranting and raving over a product they've NEVER owned, NEVER shot and NEVER will. Roll Eyes

Wow, if those really come out @ 450 and get good reviews, I will probably be in at some point.

My GSG5 is an excellent rifle. Sure, it's not an HK, and the feel of certain parts reveals that, but it shoots almost flawlessly with a wide variety of ammo. Only malfunctions are induced if you hold the mag while shooting.

I'm thoroughly pleased with my GSG5 and have thousands of rounds through it without a single cleaning. Got it for a steal, too.

If the 522 is that quality, i think it'll be a hit. (That said, i'm skeptical that the furniture, esp. the stock, is made by actual Teutonic types. I imagine a lot of the parts are made to lower quality than on a 556 just because this is rimfire. Doesn't mean it'll be a bad rifle, but if it had the same quality parts as a 556, it'd be a lot more expensive.)

Oat

ps: I also love my Mosquito, and it's given me very little trouble with reliability, and is quite accurate. Trigger sucks, but the gun works and works well.
