CPD SIGRecommend a quick-detach, lightweight 30mm scope mount for AR-15?
I'd go with GG&G or a LaRue.

I have never seen the VFZ mount up close, so I can't comment specifically on it. But I see no reason why it won't work well.
When removing and re-installing non-QD mounts, be sure to consistently and properly re-torque them. I've seen how reinstalling with noticeably different torque changes the zero a bit.
Another thing -- if and when you do swap mounts, be certain to re-install each optic on its previous rail position. If your rails are numbered, make note of that number. If they aren't numbered, a spot of paint or tape on the rail might be a good idea.

Oh yes... I forgot about the Geissele Super Precision mounts. Ugh, decisions, decisions. They're "only" like $125 more than the Larue. The horizontal rings screws seem like they'd be easier to install and get right then vertical ones. And since this is a semi-perm install, maybe that's the way to go.

Thank you! Is there a "hobbyist grade" torque wrench you'd recommend for the ring screws and the bolts for the mount itself?

I use the Wheeler Engineering FAT Torque Wrench.
