I just picked up a Midwest industries free float handguard for my Ruger PC9, 9mm. I noticed a passing resemblance to the Soviet PPSh-41. I wanted to pick up a 9mm Glock drum to complete the look.

Can anyone recommend a nice Glock drum magazine?

I have yet to hear about any that are 100% reliable. But some might be good enough for a range toy.

But because of the way the Glock drums have the elonged neck to fit inside a full-size Glock grip, a drum mag hangs pretty far down below the PC9.

Therefore, it doesn't really look much like a PPSh 41:

If anything, it's somewhat closer to the PPD 34/38 look:

Only with a drum magazine more like a MP18:

The ruger pistol mags are steel right? You could cut one down, grind the feed lips off a suomi drum, and weld them together.

Well, if you squint and hold your head just right it isn't terrible. The important thing is that I am happy with it. I'm going to pop some rounds after I knock off work.

I like it!
I also like the idea of mod-ing a PPSh-41 drum with a Ruger mag ... It looks a bit odd with the long neck.

All I had for sites were a cheap Chinese knock off. I am waiting for a nicer set to arrive. Because I don't know WHERE it is shitting now. No where close to pint of aim, I'll tell you that. I need to get it to the range and put it on a BIG piece of paper.

I've also ordered a sight rail to go where the rear site was mounted.

Got out for a walk today and shot 4 ground squirrels with the Ruger "Burp" gun.

This thing will do for our future stock killing. Very handy tool. Cheap ammo. More decisive than a .22.

Back in the 1880-1941 era there existed a class of firearm of which this thing is certainly representative. Lots of .32 Rimfire and centerfire rifles were used for hog, lamb and steer killing and general all-round utility use on the farm. Here on my ranch once we get away from the house we need something that reaches out a bit farther, but right up close to the front door and in the kill corral, this thing will get the nod every time.
