Someone spent a lot of money to build that 3-gun rifle......

Some quality parts and then it looks like they had it all ceracoated.

Not surprised that you had issues with steel case. If the gas system is tuned for M193, typical wolf or tula won't run it.

Open your gas system up if you want to use steel case.

That rifle was over $1k in parts, most likely.

Muzzle brake like that is effective at repelling idiot range-goers. Doesn't take them long to pick up and go somewhere else. Big Grin

Yep, the crew beside us was shooting an AR15 pistol, no brace, no sights , just hold it up in front of your face and blast away.

After a mag of double taps on various jugs and boxes that were left on the range, they packed Up and left.

Their little foam plugs were no match!

I've never shot 3gun, but if quick follow up shots and no muzzle flip are important, this would fit the bill.

Only shot out to 50yds, standing.
Will have to bench it at 100 next time.
Saturday after Christmas, the range was a little wild.
We shall see how it does with 193 and some hunting ammo.

It is.

That is a textbook 3 gun rifle.

There are less severe muzzle brakes on the market that are approximately as effective.

My tinnitus can attest to the need for high quality ear pro for braked rifles.

I forgot my good stuff at one match and used foamies.

Mistake.

For many people, their first shot with a tuned race rifle with adj gas and a low mass carrier are a revelation.

That carrier alone is worth about $225.

Check the buffer. Does it have the JP captive buffer spring?

My initial thought was to swap over the JP low mass bolt and Geisselle 2 stage trigger to a stock DD rifle already in the safe and try to get most of my money back.

Some decent parts on this one actually.
Could upgrade stock and charging handle or just run it as is.

I would leave the DD alone.

That one is your serious gun, this one can be your race gun.

Add a better stock. Charging handle is up to you.

Toss a LPVO on top and go play 3 gun. Smile
