I shoot the Win 1885 125th anniversary model in 45-70 and it is great fun. Recoil with a 325 gr bullet at 2200 fps is not bad.

only about 60 rounds through a marlin .45-70.
was hitting @ 300 yards very regular.
not punishing at all.

I've gotta admit, I've never shot a 12 gauge that weighs only six pounds.
