I recently purchased an unused condition Savage MSR-15 Recon in .223/5.56 from my cousin's boy. He needed quick cash to fund his new Arsenal AK so I bought this rifle to keep him from taking too big of a hit on a retail trade. I did some quick reading on the Savage MSR but haven't really found any negative comments. In fact, most reviews praise their barrel quality and accuracy potential. I don't plan to use this particular rifle as a SHTF weapon, but rather as a range toy or perhaps for some light W. PA field use. What say the SIGforum community? Does anyone have any experience with he MSR line? Thank you in advance for your comments.
