Hey guys, two part question.

1st - If I get a Flat-top AR 20 inch upper is there a different carry handle to use on it or do I just use the same one that would be on a M4?

For example, if I recall correctly the M4 detachable carry handle is marked 6/3 and the standard non-detach A2 is marked 8/3 or 800 yards.

2nd - Can you point me to a company that makes good quality COMPLETE AR-15 A2 or A3 uppers that are priced no more that $ 500 dollars?

My requirements are basically just M-4 feed ramps and chromelined barrel along with properly staked carrier key and may magnetic particle testing ( the MP isnt super important to me)

Thanks for the help!

Seth

It's the same as the M-4. The detachable handle is made for the M-4 very few orders have been made for the M-16A4. Even Rock Rivers "national match" detachable handle is 0 to 600 yards.

No.

They can do it for $475 with no bolt or hand guards.

If you look around you can find complete LMT's for $625, prices seem to be coming down though.

Ya beat me to it Hal, you always seem to be one step ahead of me Cool

Yes, steve will bend over backwards to try to help you. I bought a used RRA some time ago for a really good price. Like a dummy sold it. You could try a WTB add in the classifieds and list your price. I am guessing you would get a response or two. I would not hesitate to buy used here, but that is just me. Good luck.

Maybe because I am further East than you. Wink

The CMMG's seem to function as well as the Colt I have.
My wife's CMMG Mid Length came to her used on the Forum. It is a wonderful weapon.

How about Stag? www.ar15sales.com
They have a complete A4 upper for $519, shipped.
Includes detachable carry handle,Hbar.
I've been looking at this one, I'd like a RRA A4 upper which he can also get but warned there's an 8-12 week backlog.

The Bravo Company stuff is high quality. In fact it is right up there with Colt in terms of quality.
