Last night / this morning at 4am, I got off work, but I'm on call until 7am. All my AR lower parts had arrived that day, so I popped in a DVD, pulled out all my parts and tools and a LOT of masking tape and got to work. I watched The Bourne Identity while I did this. My question is, what movie would you pop in while you do your build?

Heat would have been a good choice. Honestly, when I chose the DVD it was just something that I had been wanting to watch lately, but after I started thinking about what would have been the "right" movie for the task.
By the way, it was the first time I had built on a CMMG lower. Good and bad... The finish is great and help up amazingly to my hammer. I did use a lot of masking tape, but there were still quite a few missed shots that hit directly on metal and the finish did not mar. My only real complaint was that it took FOREVER to get the trigger guard roll pin in. I had to beat it to death. I used the one that came with the Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard so I don't know if the pin was oversized or the hole was undersized but I think I woke up the dead beating on that thing before it finally went in. Luckily, my wife was up watching the movie with me so with an extra set of hands I got the bolt catch roll pin in pretty easily and the front takedown pin even wasn't too bad. The lower is now complete other than I plan to replace the standard stock with a CTR at some point and I will upgrade the grip down the road. I have a Magpul MIAD on backorder for my other AR, and I may give the new one the Hogue that is on my old one now. That, or just order another MIAD.

Any Godzilla movie is good because you can concentrate on the job and dont feel bad ignoring the movie.
What kind of FAL is that Al is using in Heat? I have always been impressed by that rifle. It looks like it has a curved AR mag in it. Do they make 5.56 FAL's?
When I last cleaned my guns I was watching...Saving Private Ryan. Before that it was Red Dawn. I honestly don't remember what I was watching when I put my lower together, but I'm sure it was awesome...The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly perhaps?

Building a weapon upon which my life may depend? No visual distractions at all, please. Background sound? Perhaps light classical or other instrumental music, or natural sounds such as the seashore, but without any effing seagulls, or a flowing stream, with birds singing.

By the way, what rifle was Pacino using in the bank robbery scene/shootout (when he took out Sizemore's character having the kid in one hand and Galil in the other)?

You are close. Pacino was using an FN FNC. Great gun.
I have built all 5 of my AR15s while watching DVDs. I usually throw in "Tears of The Sun", "Blackhawk Down", "Aliens", or "Underworld".
