My agency has been contacted by Sig regarding an issue with the extractor on the Sig 556 patrol rifle that can cause a failure to extract. They want the rifles back to fix the problem.

Anybody here know about what’s going on?

Patrols had problematic short-gas systems. I can't imagine the extractor has an issue since its teh same as regular 556's.

What is a short-gas problem, and what’s the remedy?
