Me too.

I've been wanting a 9mm rifle for a long time. However, I want one that takes Glock mags, has a LRBHO, and doesn't cost a fortune. If these are reliable guns, I may have to get one.

I have no need for such a thing, but I sure do want one.

I've been thinking today ( which is slightly painful for me!), and wondering if a Magpul or Hogue stock for a 10/22 Takedown could be modified, hopefully easily, to fit this.

ETA: I just went and looked at the pics again, and with the magwell differences there's no easy/practical mod to the 10/22 stocks.

Oh well maybe Magpul will make a stock similar to the Hunter X22 stock (not the backpacker though).

I think Ruger screwed the pooch. I usually look at a new product by them and give it instant approval. That thing just looks like a cheap mess. Not interested at all.

These are shipping now.

A few people have already gotten one, and they've been spotted in stock at gun stores.

Street price is reportedly ~$480-$510 in brick-and-mortar stores. A few places online have them listed as low as ~$450, but are all out of stock.

I don't know, I think it might work as a SHTF deal. I saw a Glock 17 Gen 3 with 5 magazines for $399 at a LGS today. Put them together and you have a sweet couple.

Yeah, I had the same wonder. Looking at the mag well, it seems like it should fit one. Since they have a variant for the ban states, it would seem to follow that they'd engineered the gun to accept the standard G26 10rd mags as a starting point and going up from there. That's not to say that 10rd mags aren't available in the other form factors, but a G26 flush-fit mag would make a lot of sense.

10 round G26 mags do fit. (Not quite flush-fit, though.)

Here's a shot of a G26 mag in a PC carbine.

This might finally push me into buying a G26.

God bless America.

doh...just realized PC must stand for Pistol Caliber and not Politically Correct. I'm interested, but want to see it out in the wild getting rave reviews from regular Joes for a while first.

That ain't a mistake... That's a feature. For shooting around corners, naturally.

It would be nice if you could pop off the 9mm upper and put on a .45 or .40 upper. That kind of thing.

I handled one today at Kentucky Gun co. It’s a well built gun and heavier than I was expecting. I’ve been looking for a packable fun that I can throw in a bag in a vehicle and was hoping this would be it. It’s still rather big even when taken down. I’m not sure about deploying it quickly from a broken down state. My one complaint was the magazine release. It is slightly in front of the magazine which makes mag changes somewhat awkward.

A pistol-grip'd folding-stocked stock would be easy enough to make. I would also guess that Ruger has a lightweight bbl'd version in the works as well.

Don't worry, someone who complains about having too many ARs and how the whole market is flooded with AR-ish guns will make a stock and M-lock forearm set that will turn it into a break-down 9mm AR. Big Grin

I can see what you mean by the magazine release though. Having that release where it is replicates the current configuration (left side, accessible with right hand thumb) for Glocks as cheaply as possible, but isn't as ergonomic for a right-handed comb-stock rifle grip. The solution is probably to drop the empty magazine with your left hand just before inserting a fresh magazine.

I like that Carbine, but have gotten interested in the Ruger Ranch Rifle in 7.62 x 39, and can't afford both.

These are the top two items on my "To Buy" list this year.

Ruger is going to get a nice chunk of my disposable income in 2018.

Yeah, it's pretty...disjointed. First one transferred in today. Bleah. Magpul, TacSol and the rest of the Ruger aftermarket need to come to its rescue.

But all would've been forgiven (at least by me) if it had been in 10mm.

Interestingly, reviews are starting to show up, and reports are that these come from the factory with a ~3 pound trigger pull. Surprisingly light.

I would be quite pleased, and lighter in the pocket, with one in .45acp.
