Thanks, been out of pocket so haven't purchased. "Boringly accurate" is good. Of the two I've held and shouldered, one had a great trigger and the other wasn't bad either; still better than the stock MPX and scorpion.
So "boringly reliable" as well?

I've not had any stopages so far. But I have maybe 200-300 rounds through mine.

I checked the tension ring...there is a metal washer, but the knurled adjuster ring sure feels like hard plastic. It may be aluminum, but I doubt it.

Mine has been 100% with factory Glock mags. It jams on the second to last round every time with the one Magpul 21 round mag that I have. So stick to the Glock mags and you should be fine.

OK guys.

What's the summary?

On a reliability scale of 1 = Tomato Stake to 10 = Bullet Hose, what is it?

I want one, but only if it is dead reliable. I have no interest in a "range toy" that needs excuses.

Three guys at my club have them.
They use them for our pistol caliber carbine shoots. So they're used for very rapid shots, often running through multiple magazines during a stage.
From what I have seen (sample size of three) they have been 100 percent reliable.

A guy at my club kicked my ass on Sunday at our IPSC match with one of these. I was shooting my Stag 9 with a Trijicon MRO and he had a PC9 with a Sig Romeo and he just toasted me. I have a PC9 and might consider switching as it definitely does work. But 9mm ARs are awesome.

Just went to the range with mine for the third time and I have put a little over 500 rounds through it with no malfunctions. I like it a lot
but I'm waiting for some aftermarket stocks to come out.

I just won one of these Carbines at a NRA fundraiser.

What's the consensus now?

Reliable?

Or should I just sell it new without shooting it! LOL.

Mine has been very reliable. The ONLY stoppages I've had have been attributed to cheap, 30 rd. Korean magazines and steelcase ammo. Out of Glock Mags the Steel Case fed 100%.

I just bought a Midwest Industries free Float forearm. I haven't taken pictures of that yet.

Thanks Rolan.

A question:

W/ a 9mm carbine, in practical reality, what is the advantage of a freefloat forearm?

I'm thinking of trying to upgrade the one I won to the new Ruger model, but wonder if such a thing is really going to make any significant difference.

Thoughts?

As an aside, I wish Ruger would make an adapter for the Now-GI SIG 320. I have a pile of 21 round mags, so...

I just like the way it looks, and it gives me QD mounting points.

longer forearm, and you can C clamp grip it if that's your thing.

Have had the thing to the range.

It has an eating disorder.

It eats a lot of bullets!

LOL.

Great little gun.

I've been thinking about dumping mine. Now I may just put it in a backpack with my Gen 5 Glock 34 and all of my magazines and 300 rounds of UMC 9mm hollowpoints, just in case.

Can't remember when I had more fun with a gun.

Total keeper.

3/4Flap, which model did you end up buying?

This guy here:

I like the new one with the Bergmann-style vented barrel shroud.

Regardless, this thing is a great little rifle.

Have you had any issues with alignment where the two pieces come together?

Yes.

It goes together too quickly thus allowing me more time to run expensive bullets thru it!

Big Grin
