Recommended a mount for a Trijicon MRO Patrol? Login/Join

I sold my MRO and am now looking for a MRO Patrol. I found an excellent price on one w/o a mount. What mounts do people recommend? The Trijicon brand mount looks good, so does Geissele. Does the hex nut style really work w/o a tool? In the past I have used ADM and have been very satisfied.
------------------------

Edit, I was just watching the Geissele video and he states that lever mounts can hold to 200 lbs. max, while his hex nut mounts hold 1200 lbs. per crossbolt. This may not matter for an MRO Patrol, but I am not sure.

I have 2 Scalarworks mounts, one for an MRO, one for a T2, and they are both excellent.

Larue and Bobro are my go-to manufacturers for red dot mounts.

Does it use the same mount as the regular MRO?

If so and you do not need a QD I am very happy with my SLR. But I have no need to ever take it off so I had no reason to spend much. Plus I bought the MRO when they first were released and did not have many options.

I just picked up a Geissele lower 1/3 for my H1 to replace an absolute LaRue mount. Either is good, the Geissele was on sale.

But yes, you need a tool on the Geissele mount. It's setup to take a box wrench, large screwdriver, basically anything that can turn it 1/4 turn past hand tight and you're back on zero, clamped down. It uses 3 rail indexes and there's a clever little setup to the tension nut.

Scalarworks are super light and skeletal. The LaRue/Geissele/Bobro are all solid options with return-to-zero feature - pick your mount style, features like QD levers, and budget.

I've beat on a Geissele (I mean abused) and been exceedingly happy with it.

Thanks for the replies. I will check into these. I have a Bobro attaching a 1-6 on one rifle, and it is fairly secure. I have not handled a Scalarworks, only heard about them.

Kinetic development? I have a scout mount from them.
Bobro on the ACOG. Both are nice.

I’ve got three MRO’s on Geissele mounts. Two lower 1/3 and one 1.93. Can’t say enough good things about their mounts.
