Good optical quality shooting glasses? Login/Join

The cheap industrial protective glasses I use for most shooting are fine for irons and red dot sights, but when using a magnified scopesight I notice some distortion in the reticle image. I have a pair of Edge glasses that are better, but I’m wondering if the shooters here have any other favorites. I’m not looking for something that will let me shrug off a load of 7½ to the face, just protection from a ruptured case at worst.

Thoughts or suggestions?

Suggest visiting TacticalRx.com in Denver. Bring your rifle, leave it in your vehicle. Let them know you have it, they'll let you bring it in the shop, try various frames prone if you wish. Leave the bolt in your vehicle.

OTD, thanks for those recommendations, but most are not the type of protective glasses I’m seeking. I did not realize, though, that such glasses were available in the U.S.

offgrid, it appears that Tactical Rx has some great offerings. With just a quick look at their web site I saw a couple of styles that attracted my attention.

The Aegis Arc model looks good, but although it’s hard to tell from the photo, the temples seem pretty thick for use with muffs. I prefer flatter styles.

Thank again to all.

Where do you buy Ray-Ban glasses? It seems there are many counterfeits, and reportedly even from Amazon.

Well, that’s what I was thinking, but didn’t want to rule out any other options. Thanks.

Thanks, Jim, for the offer, but I believe I have found a type or two to try. I will nevertheless consider that version if they don't work for me.
