I am in the midst of acquiring parts for my first AR build.

I have and Aero Precision lower, CMMG LPK and I just ordered a PSA Dissipator upper (no BCG/Charging handle).

I am planning on running iron sights for a while since it'll mainly be a plinker and I like the challenge of iron sights.

So who do we like for a good rear sight. Not looking for a carry handle or flip up.

Yep, Daniel Defense A1.5, I have one and it has been a reliable sight as in it has stayed put, and never lost zero.

Simple straightforward and lightweight. The perfect KISS carbine sight.

Yes, the Daniel Defense A1.5. I own three. You won't be disappointed. I used to use the Troy fixed rear sight but transitioned to the DD, which is IMO simply nicer.

I have 2 sets of Daniel Defence and when I need another fixed BUIS I will go with them again, nothing to complain about at all.

Yet another recommendation for the Daniel Defense fixed rear sight. I have one on my Colt 6720.

I really like the DD 1.5 that came on my DD rifle so I bought another for the PSA rifle I put together.

Larue Tactical is another good choice.

(If you don't need the QD feature, get the non-QD "VFZ" version for $25 less.)

LMT Tactical. Looks just like the Rock River sight that lyman posted.

The new Scalarworks ones look awesome.
I own a LARUE rear, that is simple yet awesome. I found the SOCOM style LMT to be too big and bulky and it has more features than I need.

I have something similar to this. What's nice about it is you have adjustable elevation. The other sights are windage only.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Looks like I'll be going with the Daniel Defense.

The Scalarworks one is cool but it's almost as much as I paid for my upper and it's made for a carbine length sight radius. I have a dissipator upper so I will have a full rifle length sight radius.

Ive owned about 5 of the Daniel Defense ones, and in my opinion, the Troy fixed rear BUIS sight is superior. I have since sold off all the Daniel Defense ones.
